Judy's Comments: Some advice concerning College Care Packages...I think that receiving mail when away at college or school is important to your student age young adults for a couple of reasons. It tells them that you are thinking of them, it tells others that they are being thought of ( their roommates, etc.) and it gives them something to share. Yes, they can go buy their own cookies and snacks, but I heard it over and over from my 2 daughters while they were in school, "Send me a package?" There's just something about homemade cookies when you are away from home. The packaging for our cookies is very functional also, as the cookies are packed in cellophane bags and heat sealed. Two to a bag, so only one bag has to be opened at a time. The rest can be shared or saved for later. It is always a good idea, also to maybe send an email to the student or mention that a package is on the way so that they can check their mailbox. Most colleges receive the packages from UPS and FedEX in a mailroom setting, they then place a notice in the student's mailbox directing them to pick up the package at the mailroom window. Cookies were really, really good - at least according to my parents, to whom I sent as a gift. Sent regular cookie assortment & shortbread assortment. Very flavorful & fresh and they particularly liked the individual wrappings (1 or 2 (not sure) to a package), which kept the remaining cookies fresh. Thought the cookies were a bit on the expensive side, but if they were as good as I was told, it was worth it. K.R. Payson, AZ.
