FAQs
Our standard shipping rates refer to delivery 2-4 Business days after your order is shipped. These rates are a low $9.95 for orders to one address up to $100.00. Shipping for Orders $100 to $150 is $15 and over $150 is estimated at 10% of the order.
Do you ship to APO/FPO/DPO Military addresses overseas?
Yes, we do ship to APO boxes for Military mail. The packages ship via the USPS Priority Mail. We cannot track the package however as it moves through the Military Mail system. However, we're finding that it is taking 8 to 15 days to arrive on average.
When will my order arrive?
We ship all gifts to arrive within 2-4 business days after it leaves our bakery. Most gifts shipped to a Pennsylvania address arrive the next Business day after we ship. Your order must be placed by 1 pm EST for us to ship it that day if you choose Standard Shipping. Express shipping 2nd Day Air and Next Day Air orders must be placed by 1 pm EST. Currently, we ship Monday through Thursday. Orders placed after 1 pm EST on Thursday will be shipped the following Monday. We will send you an email with the tracking number of the gift when we ship it so that you can see when your gift is delivered.
Do you have any products free of Nuts or Peanut Butter?
You should not consume our products if you have a Nut or Peanut allergy. We have cookie assortments without added nuts or peanuts i.e. chocolate chip, sugar, super chocolate chunk, vanilla, snickerdoodle, to name a few, but No, we cannot guarantee that our products have not come into contact with some form of tree nut or peanut butter due to the fact that we do use these ingredients in our bakery.
Do you have sugar-free cookies? We do not offer sugar free cookies at this time, but are working presently on some recipes.
When do I pay for my order?
We do not store your credit card information on our company's computers when you place your order online. Your credit card is charged when we process your order. Your order will ship as you choose online.
Can I use multiple coupons?
Only one coupon can be used with your order. Coupons are good however on items that are already on sale.
Can I send a gift message with my cookie gift order?
Yes, when you checkout online after you enter your billing and shipping information, there is a section with a box where you can enter your message for us to add to the gift. Your message or greeting will appear inside the shipping box on top of the gift so that when the recipient opens the box, he/she can read your message.
Don't forget to sign your name/s unless you want the gift to be anonymous. We ask that you limit your message to approximately 35 words, don't worry if you go over a few, we won't shorten your message!
Do you have a retail store?
No,we do not sell our products from a retail store. Our Plum Boro bakery is operating for mail-order, website, and phone sales at this time. However, give us 24 hours, and place your order by phone for local pickup Monday thru Thursday. We're located in Plum Boro, PA 15239.
Our current pick up hours are : Monday thru Thursday from 10 am to 5 pm. We are located at 947-G Old Frankstown Rd in Plum Boro, Pa 15239.( upper level near Detail King) Please call first at 1.800.858.8970 for us to prepare your order.
Sales Tax:
We collect PA & local Allegheny county Sales Tax on certain applicable items (for example, baskets) if shipped to Pennsylvania address.
Where are you located?
We are located in Western Pennsylvania outside of Pittsburgh in the town of Plum. Our bakery is inspected by the Allegheny Health Dept. and licensed by the PA. Dept. of Agriculture.
Do you ship internationally?
We do not ship out of the United States. However, we do accept orders from outside of the US to ship to an United States Address. You will need to call us at 1.800.858.8970 to place your order. Our online store does not accept international addresses at this time.
What is the weight and size of the cookies & brownies?
Our handmade cookies are large and weigh 2 oz each. Each cookie measures approximately 3-4 inch in diameter. As they are hand-scooped, some variation is possible, our delicious, farmhouse style cookies are large, chunky and chewy cookies. To give you some idea, a two dozen cookie box has a net wt of 3 lbs. Our deep-dish brownies are a generous 4 oz each, large enough to share!
Will an invoice or any price/s be sent with the gift?
No, we do not include an invoice with any of our gifts if you are shipping to someone else. If you are having the cookie order/s shipped to you, we will include a copy of the order for your records. You will also receive a copy of the order via email automatically sent when we ship your order with the price and tracking number. This copy is emailed ONLY to you, not the recipient. If you do not receive this email or need an update on your order, please call us at 1.800.858.8970 or email us.
How long have you been baking cookies?
Judy, one of the owners started baking when she was 7 years old, growing up on in a farmhouse in Southwestern Pa. While working as an ICU nurse at Children's Hospital in Pittsburgh, she started this company in the basement of her home with her Husband, Dan and her sister, Barb. That was 1988. We've moved on to a 2000 sq ft bakery outside of Pittsburgh, PA. but the recipes for the cookies are the same!
